For Week of 9 February
There is an effort to restart the Caring Committee, a group of laypeople who visit the sick and homebound in our congregation. If you would like to participate, please see Richard Dunne or Pastor Tom.
We will have a brief Ash Wednesday service this Wednesday, February 18th at 7:00 p.m. You will be able to receive ashes on your forehead or the back of your hand if you wish, as a remembrance of our mortality as we enter the season of Lent in preparation for Easter.
The North Kingstown Clergy Association will be holding a series of Lenten Soup Luncheons on Wednesday afternoons starting on Ash Wednesday, February 18th. Our turn to host will be March 25th. If you can provide soup and bread or help with setup and cleanup, please see Diana Warburton or Paula Wilberger.
Please sign up to be a Greeter. Showing a warm, friendly face is one of the things that makes visitors feel welcome and keep coming back. If you can smile, you have what it takes!
We now offer healing prayer and anointing during Holy Communion each week. If you desire healing for yourself or someone else, you can stop at the prayer station after you receive the elements. They will be present to pray with you after the service as well.
We are always looking for people who can help with our A/V ministry. Even if all you can do is press a button to advance slides during the service, we can use you! Talk to Pastor Tom, Pete Pellegrino, or Elaine Roffo if you are interested in helping.
Items crafted from tie-dyed fabric made by the women of Kabala, Sierra Leone are for sale in the narthex. All proceeds go to the women of Kabala and our mission partner, the Nar Sarah Clinic.
Please contribute regularly to our four ongoing collections in the narthex – food for the North Kingstown Food Pantry, supplies for the North Kingstown Animal Shelter, plastic films and bags for our recycling project, and clothing and small appliances for the Open Closet program at Open Table of Christ UMC in Providence.
The Pastor's Study is in-person in the church library and by Zoom (contact the church office for the Zoom link.) Click here for Book Study info.
The ecumenical church community of North Kingstown provides a free Sunday dinner for our friends and neighbors throughout the year. See "Community Dinners" under Community Outreach to learn more.

Here's an easy way to financially support the ministry work of our church, and just in time for holiday shopping. UMC Market is a shopping portal created by the United Methodist Church in partnership with select online merchants. All you do is sign up, shop at your favorite participating web store, and the merchant makes a donation to our church! This is all at absolutely no cost to you - no hidden fees, no annual membership, no increased costs. Learn more by clicking here.
