Community Dinner
The ecumenical church community of North Kingstown provides a free Sunday dinner for our friends and neighbors throughout the year. Meals are served at the First Baptist Church of Wickford on 44 Main Street, Wickford, Sundays at 12:30 pm. Meals-to-Go are also provided. All are welcomed! NK Food Pantry
The North Kingstown Food Pantry, at 445 School Street, serves anyone in town with emergency food needs. The Food Pantry serves 60 to 70 families each week. The Food Pantry number is (401) 885-3663. Contributions for the North Kingstown Food Pantry are collected at each Sunday worship service at North Kingstown United Methodist Church. Non-perishable food items and cash donations are accepted. Food Donations may be dropped at the church, checks should be sent to NK Food Pantry, 445 School St, North Kingstown, RI 02852. If the church is not open, donations can be dropped off at the pantry, Chamber of Commerce, Dave's Marketplace or Stop & Shop.
Habitat for Humanity
South County Habitat for Humanity is a volunteer-driven organization. We welcome people from all walks of life to join us in building simple, decent, affordable homes in partnership with hard-working families in need. We invite volunteers to help us build homes, work in our ReStore, serve on committees and help with special projects. As a volunteer for South County Habitat for Humanity, there is a volunteer opportunity to suit all interests. Experience is not necessary to for any opportunity, just a friendly attitude and willingness to learn! Our staff and crew leaders will provide you with all the training you will need.
